Windows 10 Nagware Alert Removal...

Open up Control Panel and go to Programs and Features, then Uninstall a Program...

Once in Uninstall a Program click on View Installed Updates over to the left...

Once there, copy this KB3035583 and paste it into Search Installed Updates or just type it in Search Installed Updates...

Once it finds this file choose Uninstall...reboot required and the GWX.exe nagware alert to update to Windows 10 is gone.

This is for Windows 7 users that don't want to upgrade to 10.

**UPDATE**

Depending if you applied this fix to late you'll notice that the Icon will come back again.

You need to create a Registry Entry to remove it permanently:

Open up regedit.exe using the Start search or by hitting WIN + R and pasting it into the field. Then browse down to the following key, or if it doesn't exist create a new Key (folder) call it Gwx.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Gwx

Once you are there and or created a Key you'll need to create a new 32-bit DWORD value on the right-hand side named DisableGwx, and give it a value of 1.

**UPDATE**

This only prevents seeing the alert, not your ability to upgrade. When you are ready to upgrade just go to Microsoft's Website... http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-10-upgrade

The Best Feature of Windows 10...

Microsoft makes it's Browser "Edge" the Default Browser for Windows 10...AWESOME!!!

Mozilla CEO Chris Beard said:

"These changes aren't unsettling to us because we're the organization that makes Firefox," Beard wrote. "They are unsettling because there are millions of users who love Windows and who are having their choices ignored, and because of the increased complexity put into everyone's way if and when they choose to make a choice different than what Microsoft prefers."

The fact of the Matter is that people have moved on from Mozilla. Even Linux users have moved passed FireYuck and choose Chrome for their Preferred Browser.

Did you hear that Chris? LINUX USERS HAVE MOVED ON, your fall back users, your best pals in the whole wide world have kicked you to the curb because your browser SUCKS!!!

Oh, we love the decision and it's a great decision because it's the mistake that the world is making these days and that is supporting the weakest link.

You Mozilla are a weak link and don't contribute anything to the party other than a pathetic desktop and a equally as pathetic browser.

Mozilla is like a Hitchhiker that got lucky and was picked up by someone in a fancy car is all. In other words, it was their lucky day.

Haven't you heard Mozilla, nobody hitchhikes anymore, so go out and get a job, move out of your Parents basement and pull up your pants, you look ridiculous.

Linux is the Genius here, the rest of you Google, Mozilla, are just hitchhikers hitching a ride, a curtail if you will.

Even Google Chrome OS is built off of Linux, so think of it like a Paint by the Numbers application. All they are doing is drawing a line from point A to B, no genius.

Microsoft "CREATED" an operating system and a Desktop and are the Genius, the rest of you are just Interior Decorators :-D or to stay applicable to application, Graphics Designers :-P

Microsoft is the Creator of Windows, and it's no longer a Monopoly issue because there are many choices out there for people, and Microsoft chose to concentrate on themselves.

You can't blame them, and they deserve to be the default browser because it's their software, NACHOS ;-)

It's like that old saying, don't go away mad, just go away...You know when people don't get the hint it's best to spell it out for them, so Mozilla FireYuck...F.O.!

Microsoft Flag Ship Phones..

Before we get into the phone, you have to take into consideration on how rich people get rich and that is, they don't spend money, they spend your money...

Rich people are the best hagglers and coupon users. They are not ashamed of saying no I can't afford it and they know how to walk away from a bad deal.

It takes extreme discipline and shrewd tactics, but most importantly absolutely and positively no emotion whatsoever.

Empathy is the best way to describe how a Rich person thinks. Empathy allows you the ability to understand and share the feelings of another by combining a perceived self-interest.

You accomplish this by emphasizing on their wants and wishes and focus on the benefits of the person whose mind you want to change.

"FLAGSHIP" is the word that Microsoft is using to entice people to think that they are coming out with their best because that is what they want you to think.

First of all, they only put 3gb into the phone and the WORLD has been at 4gb since 2005 and with phones 2014.

They are also using a Processor that is known to cause heating issues and is why Samsung stopped using them and went to their own processors.

Now if you remember, Microsoft already came out with a Flagship phone in 2012 and was the Nokia Lumia 900...now three years later they re-gifted and called it the 950...

Samsung, Apple, HTC, LG have come out with so many variations in styles since 2012 and Microsoft kept the old look combined with mid level upgrades and a processor that's known to get hot.

If the processor gets hot it will heat up the battery and cause shorter life, not to mention the dangers of heat and Lithium we "already" know about.

Microsoft bragged about a battery that could last 30 days and they come out with a 7 hour battery that is used for most phones today.

Now the hook is the 20MP PureView rear camera and the 5.7 inch WQHD (1440x2560) OLED display, but that's it and that's where the fun stops.

Microsoft invested nothing into the quality of the speaker system and sound in this phone and people want their music and have music with other phones. People don't want a phone they want an Entertainment System.

In 2005 we recognized a problem with selling computers and that was "STUDENTS" and their champagne taste based on a beer buying budget couldn't afford computers, so we found a solution.

Students sleep and sit on the floor, but when it comes to entertainment they need to impress, because college is about parties.

So we showed students how they could accomplish all their needs with a Computer by adapting to their champagne taste and beer wallet budgets.

They had the best entertainment money could buy in a computer while taking care of their needs and wants so when the parents asked, did you buy a computer for school they can say, SURE DID MOM!

So why would Microsoft come out with a Phone that doesn't include the Entertainment System...

This is where Microsoft fails in business, it's because they think like a Tech and not an end user. They don't get out and play, all they do is work work work and we all know that makes Jack a Dull Boy.

Now in Microsoft's defense, they did come out with a Statement some time back that they were going to scale back their first phone and keep it on the cheap side.

That's fine Microsoft, there is nothing wrong with that, everyone knows that you haven't got the money you used to, but at least make an effort.

This phone was designed by Accountants and GOD Bless the Accountants, but they don't know how to make money, they only know how to save money.

In a Word this phone is a POS and if you don't believe us, just ask the CEO of Microsoft...that's right the CEO Satya Nadella had a comment about the phone and he said, "This phone is not a good flagship phone."

All the work and promoting you have done and the patience you instilled in your team just made them look like idiots and you should be ashamed of yourselves, because we know that you have made their life a living hell up until now.

The big impression you "NEEDED TO" "HAD TO" make on this day could quite possibly be the beginning of the end for you.

We are so disappointed in you Microsoft, not surprised, but completely disappointed. It's one thing to be mindful of expenses, but the fact that you put a CPU that is known to heat up tells us that you didn't care and that's sad...

sidenote: There is that possibility that Microsoft sees that phones aren't the future either...remember...They are not ashamed of saying no I can't afford it and they know how to walk away from a bad deal.

So the question is: Will MS return to its grass roots and just stay focused on Software and let other people do the hardware?

Microsoft, Steve Ballmer and the Surface...

In the news we have been hearing about Steve Ballmer and what a mistake it was for him to buy Nokia.

The news has also been happy to have something to write about as well because Microsoft just laid off over 18,000 employees from Nokia and the media loves a tragedy.

However there was no tragedy, and we have been reluctant to write about it because it just gets us all worked up so we have avoided the subject for as long as we could, but we can't anymore.

Recently it has been brought to our attention to read Matt Smith from Digital Trends and his rant about the Surface from Microsoft.

This was basically our motivation to write about what we have been seeing for years and what we have been seeing lately in the market.

Matt Smith doesn't like the Surface because it's doing really well for MS and when a company puts out good news media hates it :-(

The Surface is becoming a very popular product because it's built very well and the design is better than any design that is on the market today.

All 2 in 1 designs are flip overs that leave the keyboard on the bottom which will be slid across the surface it sits on, which will scratch the keys and pick up debris.

Sure it's an all in one and all you have to do is carry one device whereas the Surface is two devices and you have to be responsible for two pieces all the time, but still it's a better design.

The other thing Matt Smith writes about is the future of the Surface and that MS may stop developing it's own hardware and abandon the product.

This is ridiculous and even if MS does stop developing their own hardware they won't abandon a product that is bringing in 117% of it's revenue right now.

They will more than likely give it to Samsung to develop and will be a smart decision because hardware and tooling is very expensive and they know this.

MS will save money by having someone else design the product because they can trade out Software with development and they can trade services which is better than paying out loads of cash.

However, this will also come to an end because barter only goes so far, because in the end you still have to pay Uncle Sam, and Uncle Sam doesn't take Steak and Potatoes in trade for taxes.

Which takes us back to the Nokia purchase...

This was the smartest move that Steve Ballmer and MS could ever do because the knowledge they acquired was priceless.

They saw first hand what it takes to tool a shop and the employees they would need to run an operation like this.

They gained years of experience and saved billions of dollars by this move and more than likely used it to their advantage with their Surface Production line.

As for the recent layoffs was the plan from the beginning. MS never intended to keep Nokia mobile and to prove this, if you remember Stephen Elop the "CEO" of Nokia Mobility was looking for a Job the minute the Venture started, remember...he applied for the CEO position.

MS actually did these employees of Nokia a favor, because the "TRUE CEO" of Nokia and still CEO of Nokia didn't have to fire the employees due to a huge decline in sales that Nokia had been experiencing for years.

MS gave those employees an opportunity to shine and more than likely MS found a few gems in the crowd and gave those gems a new Job with MS.

MS didn't lose any money from their purchase of Nokia, they purchased it for 7.2 billion dollars and just wrote off 7.2 billion dollars, but the information they gained was priceless.

As for Steve Ballmer he's doing fine and just bought a Basketball Team and is now working for himself and still making money.

Ballmer didn't have to work for the rest of his life and had enough money for 3 generation to live off and left MS with 22.7 billion dollars of personal wealth and left MS with over 50 billion dollars in corporate wealth.

Just to put it into perspective on how smart Ballmer is, he drove to California and before his car cooled down he had bought an NBA team, now go to Seattle, where they have a collective of people consisting of Public Officials, CEO's and Personal Wealth and they can't even buy a cheap ass Hockey team let alone a Professional Basketball team.

Microsoft has been ahead of everyone by 10 years and still is ahead of everyone by 10 years regardless of losing in Phone Sales.

If you haven't noticed phones sales are tapering off which leaves Google/Apple and Samsung left with nothing to sell.

Microsoft is so far ahead in the Enterprise business that it dwarfs the competition. So when Windows 10 comes out they will be light years ahead of Google and Apple and MS already has a customer base in place.

As for the Surface the name says it all...the "PC" evolved into the Tablet and soon the tablet will be obsolete considering they are creating wearable's like Glasses and Watches.

Computers will be built into the surface of countertops/refrigerators/walls and eventually with the Kinect technology/Cloud and Quantum Physics..."Mid Air" :-P

Google doesn't have this Apple doesn't have this, Linux doesn't have this technology, Microsoft does and they are continually advancing far beyond it's own self.

We see phones going away altogether and your wearable device will be connected to an ear device that is virtually undetectable.

Voice commands don't allow for anonymity and will be replaced by thought control. Stephen Hawking can talk without moving his lips or using his voice, so this technology is right around the corner.

As for Linux and as cool as it is and that it's free is still not user friendly. We are still stuck on the WiFi card and are just thinking about going out and buying a compatible card for Debian, but we have also read that NDISWRAPPER can be used on this card, it's just that we haven't had the motivation to do it.

We really like Debian and believe that it's an up and comer, but Microsoft has just made their programs so easy to use that people won't be motivated to learn Linux.

When Linux becomes like Windows is today will it be used more frequently, but it has a long way to go. example: Google Chrome, long long ways to go...

Linux is Powerful and is used in lots of devices, but those devices are built to do just certain things that people just press a button and go.

People see a GUI and they think it's a Window and that is what they are familiar with so as far as most people are concerned it's just Windows.

Back to the Evolution of computers...this is very important considering that computers have just evolved which means that it's just a software thing now and making software compatible.

You're not going to see huge advancements in technology for a long time other than just common sense things that need to be made to work.

Social Media and texting are already getting old and people aren't compatible with each other with all this technology and lack fundamental skills of "Basic Conversation"

People are coming to America that refuse to talk the English language and it's too hard for people to learn 90 thousand different languages which is why we need to make a universal language because English is not the accepted Language anymore.

The technology that needs to be created is not some sign written in Spanish and English, it's a voice communicator device that you talk into that outputs whatever language is needed to communicate with one another.

You talk English and press translate to Russian and the person hears Russian and the interpreter is a Software not a person.

We know that Apple and Google have put all their eggs into one basket, but MS has many eggs and many baskets and they have a phone as well that counts for 7% of their bottom line, so they cover all avenues.

Now MS has applied one OS for all the devices that are out there which makes switching from device to device easy and that is what people want, easy peasy lemon squeezy and familiarity.

The familiarity is that MS will work on ALL devices so whatever device you have that you are used to can be used with an OS that looks the same everywhere you go.

The other advantage that MS has is that the root of their business is Software, so just because they don't have a lot of apps doesn't matter because MS is a software house, so they can make their own apps cheaper/reliable/compatible and secure.

We still don't recommend upgrading from anything other than Windows 8, but some people don't know any better and they love drama, they love to complain and they require attention all the time.

Business has been real slow for the 3rd party resellers out there and this type of person is just the jolt they need.

Microsoft is ran by a Board of Directors and Shareholders and Satya Nadella is just the voice for them so he will do what he does in the ever popular cloud department he maintains.

The only sad part about it is that if MS doesn't show results, people will need answers which puts him on the chopping block which would mean he would lose his job altogether.

Most CEO's have big ego's so, like a good ousted CEO he can go into politics and talk about the good ol' days with Carly Fiorina :-D

As for whether or not MS abandons it's tooling division and hardware development department for the Surface is a moot point because Samsung would love to build anything for MS and are prepared and fully trained to do so.

Toshiba is another company that MS can work with to design their products so again, it doesn't matter if they keep the division or not because it'll have served its purpose and that is MS is now familiar with how hardware and software needs to be designed in order to work perfectly with one another...and that's a fact!

**UPDATE**
It has been brought to our attention that Linux is better than Windows and that we have been speaking lies or as they say "Miss Truth" well let's see...

1. Linux is easier  to load  than windows...
answer: Yes it is and we already mentioned that "Linux is Easier to Load than Windows" remember...let's remind them..."Debian installs all updates and software on Install, MS Windows does not and requires you to download about a 1gb of updates before you can use it.
...you know, Important updates and...Optional Updates ;-) "
http://5hvnzon.blogspot.com/search?q=Debian so we agree

2. Linux  is cheaper  than windows...
answer: This one is argumentative because Microsoft is going to upgrade Home Users for free from Windows 7 on UP, but business users will have to pay for it anywhere from 119.00-199.00. However, most business customers use a Home version of Windows called "Windows Home Premium" so you know that "most" of the business users are going to "take advantage" of that free upgrade...and that's a fact! Linux on the other Hand is free for all versions all day, so yes Linux "can" be cheaper in "some" situations...and that's another fact! but like we said...argumentative ;-)

3.  You load  Linux has almost everything you need...
answer: This is "absolutely" true and again we will remind them that we already admitted this, remember..."Debian loads a full on Office Program completely compatible with MS Office, but MS Windows won't load an Office Program on install."
refer to the first blog... http://5hvnzon.blogspot.com/search?q=Debian so again, we agree...

4. You can't load Debian...
answer: Actually we did load Debian, we just couldn't install the Wireless card because it wasn't supported by Debian. We did however read about a way to load it off the Windows Driver using a Process called NDISWRAPPER, but like we said, we lost our motivation. What pissed us off the most is that Debian supports every driver before and every driver after, it's just the one card literally the "ONE" card in between that it didn't support and for the life of us we don't understand why and that just pissed us off that we had the "ONE" card that it didn't support. One series after or one series before and we could have loaded it :-( However, we loaded Debian right out of the Gate and even did a "DUAL BOOT" with Windows which we are still using.

5. Window phone is not a good choice...
answer: We completely agree, we hate SKYPE. We always liked GPhone better than SKYPE for a long time because it was an additional install. GPhone loaded with Gmail, but SKYPE for the longest time didn't, but since 2013 they solved this. However we never loaded SKYPE on Outlook because it was a pay for and as soon as our GPhone ran out we just didn't have the interest to pay for it considering that Cell Phones included Nation Wide Unlimited Calling and Unlimited Text so what's the point? You could be tied down to a computer or you could be on the move with a Mobile Phone...hmmm that's a tough one...ON THE MOVE :-D As for whether or not SKYPE is better than GPhone is a moot point because it's not as important anymore, at least not for now.

6. Window phone is not a good choice cont...
answer: We're not sure if they were referring to the SKYPE program or the actual Windows Phone, so we decided to answer in two parts. If you have read our latest blog you would know the answer to this question :-D, but just in case you missed it, here it is again...
http://5hvnzon.blogspot.com/2015/07/microsoft-flag-ship-phones.html so again, we agree...

Now as much as we like Linux and all 40 million of their Desktops :-D we also like Windows, and we like Apple and we like Google and anyone else for that matter, and like everything it depends on what you need it for is why you choose what you do.

We could go on all day about what Linux "can't" do like the issues it has with printing interfaces, the lack of a central technical support center, legacy gaming compatibility and it continues. We love Debian and in our Opinion is one of the Best Desktops we have seen thus far.

As for "LINUX" this is very confusing to most so let us help you. Linux is the core. Linux is like DOS, it's a black screen with a Blinking Cursor, but what makes Linux different is the "DESKTOPS" that they build for it, like what they did with Microsoft's Windows Desktop. The difference is that Microsoft has finalized a Desktop for Windows called 10 and was decided in 7 and 8 was the BETA.

Linux/Debian/Ubuntu/KDE/GNOME/ETC... are still in development and like we said, Microsoft is 10 years ahead of the competition.

sidenote: Windows 10...10 years ahead...Windows 10...10 years ahead get it :-D pun intended ;-)

Now for the last Argument that Linux users always fall back on...Linux is the most secure and our answer to that is..."ALL SOFTWARE CAN BE HACKED"...and that's a fact!

Here's an Idea...

Felony Imprisoned Individuals...

What we see is an Organic Material that bonds itself to the person's DNA that can track the person by GPS.

Recently two suspects escaped prison that resulted in one of them being killed and the other wounded.

What else transpired was a manhunt that cost taxpayers a "MILLION" dollars a day for the ignorance and stupidity of a Woman guard that allowed them to escape.

sidenote: What is a Woman doing in a "MANS" prison...DUHHH...oh yeah, "Equal Rights" how's that workin' for ya'?

When a person gets a Felony they are stripped of all their rights as a citizen and can cause a downward spiral of events that can ruin a person's life...forever.

In the news a Jax Taylor “Vanderpump Rules” star was reportedly arrested for felony theft on Friday when he went into a Honolulu shop and left with a pair of sunglasses he did not pay for.

If this Felony charge sticks, will ruin this man's life and all for 300 dollars that he could have easily afforded, but nonetheless a stupid crime.

Some felony charges are ridiculous and yes what he did was naughty, but not worth a Felony charge, so not all Felony victims should be used for the Organic GPS tracking device.

It should be put on prisoners that have more villainous crimes that subject a person to 10 years of imprisonment or more.

sidenote: Regardless if they get life in Prison they should still get a GPS tracking device because as we know, they could still escape.

It has to be an Organic Material that masks itself to the persons DNA, because you wouldn't want the person to be able to remove it without compromise.

If the person were to attempt to remove the GPS device they would die, as simple as that.

We have had prisons forever and people still commit crimes because they think, so what, so I spend some time in jail...WHO CARES!

They think it gives them street credit, but when you mark a person, it changes their thinking.

It's one thing to have Prison tats to prove you were in Jail, but when the "GOVERNMENT" gives you a tat, is a whole different story.

No prisoner likes the Government putting things on them or telling them what they can do and say.

As for the General Public, they are tired of paying taxes for Incompetence and million dollar a day fees for stupidity.

It's time to "PROTECT" the Tax Payer and we do that by insuring confidence in a system that works...and that's a fact!

DW Update...

We are getting closer to a resolution with the dll host 50% issue. We are now testing 4 new patches.

We are on the second of the 4 right now getting close to the third one.

We have noticed that it may work for a little while, but after time it can fail, so the tests are taking longer than before.

We feel we are getting close and hopefully will have a solution soon, stay tuned...

Patch Tuesday...Saturday...

Well it's that time again, Microsoft has put out it's regular updates called Patch Tuesday, but it's Saturday...

Yes, we know, but we don't do our updates on the Given day because we don't want a bad-date ;-)

You should have about 20 updates to do, 18 in Important and 1 or 2 in Optional depending on whether or not you use MSE.

How to Restore Windows 8 on your Device...

CAUTION: THIS IS A NO DATA SAVE SOLUTION: CAUTION

Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, tap Settings, then tap Change PC settings...

Choose General under PC Settings...

Under Remove everything and reinstall Windows, tap or click Get started...

Now follow the On Screen Prompts to restore your computer to an earlier time or factory settings...

Device Used was a Sony VAIO Tablet Desktop SVJ202.

The best advice is to restore your computer to factory settings, do all the updates, adjust your programs that will be compliant with Windows 10...

Windows Compatibility Center...
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/compatibility/CompatCenter/Home?Language=en-US

How to reserve your free upgrade to Windows 10...
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki/windows_10-win_upgrade/how-to-reserve-your-free-upgrade-to-windows-10/6c5fa167-467a-42f4-b4d2-91ac2be43c31

If you don't have data and/or you have just pulled it out of the closet after not using it for 2 years, then we recommend a Fresh Install.

As for what programs you are going to load try to hold off until Windows 10 is upgraded. You'll want to remove all malware/spyware/antivirus programs before upgrading any Operating System and especially this one.

"Windows 10 launches for consumer PCs and tablets on July 29th."

**UPDATE**

As for the process of this install was a bit rough...

You'll notice that after you install the Factory Load your Hard Drive will be maxed out at 100%. The reason for this is the Vaio Programs.

The only Programs you'll have loaded with this Suite of Programs are: 'Vaio NFC Connection Utility, Vaio Manual, Vaio Media Server Settings and Vaio Update.

...now uninstall everything else starting with Vaio, and keep only the 4 you see there.

Pretty much once you update your Vaio Update program the system will become faster by settling down the Hard Drive Usage.

Also, Windows doesn't remove the icon very well from their start menu, so go thru your start menu shortcuts and unpin.

Once you've settled down your hard drive and Vaio is updated, do your windows updates and if you are like us, we started with 8.0 had to upgrade to 8.1.

First you must change your Windows Updates to Download and let me choose to Install. Do not use Automatically downloading.

Windows Updates on Shut Down now with Win 7 down, but 8 chooses to install on Restart which changes things.

This is instant corruption; ex. If you uninstall a program or 2 or 3 you may get caught up in a Windows Update like what happened to us.

We uninstalled three programs from Vaio and when we restarted Windows went into an update and was in a loop with an Update it couldn't install.

To get around this change your Updates to Manual, but if you need to stop the system from doing updates just make sure you tap "esc" when you see the Windows Update window upon Reboot/Restart to stop any updates from being done.

Once you get all that worked out, you'll be running real smooth. Malware is the VERY VERY VERY last thing to install at this point.

sidenote: We read that MBAM doesn't recommend using MSE with MBAM, they say it's not an antivirus software and more of a Spyware program like theirs and the services can conflict. We have however been using them together for years and haven't seen any problems with MBAM and MSE...FYI...

Remember, you are loading trusted programs from trusted sites with trusted update servers, so Malware is only going to get in the way for now :-)

**UPDATE** MS uses its own Flash in Windows 8.

LibreOffice is the preferred office suite if you can't afford Microsoft Office. You can download it from here: http://www.documentfoundation.org/ it's free and 100% compatible.

Windows updates are like this...install all the 8.0 updates first. To load the Updates from Microsoft you'll need to have only checked the liked/similar titles, ex. Security updates and Updates for Windows. You'll want to check only Security Updates and load those first, you will have to reboot and then two more security updates came through so do those first, then reboot.

By this time you'll be ready to do the Updates for Windows now. You can check them all, but just make sure you check similar names like...Updates for Windows or Security Updates.

The other patches like .net framework go ahead and do after Security and Updates are out the way in Important Updates first.

...just remember the Golden Rule "Similar Names" in titles...Updates for Windows...FIRST!

tip: Uninstall Java from Add/Remove Programs, you don't need anything from Java.

NO DRIVERS/HARDWARE SOFTWARE FROM MICROSOFT. Always go to the Vendor, which brings us to Vaio Udpate.

Vaio Update will have programs in it and drivers, like chipset, wireless drivers/patches, and these you want to do. This will take you to trusted servers.

You don't need their buggy software programs other than the ones mentioned. This way you get all your updates clean and secure then Uninstall the programs when you got what you got.

You're going to remove all Vaio named software once you've got the programs and drivers you'll need done. We're thinking about only keeping Vaio Update, but we're not sure how that will work once all the other Vaio is removed, will update...

**UPDATE**

We removed both Vaio Care and Vaio Update. These programs don't respond nicely to being blocked at startup. The programs work fine for Advanced Users, but it's best to remove them.

We left a few Programs like the Connectivity Utilities, Memories and Vaio Media Server Settings programs and that's it. You don't want anyone accidentally doing the following ...

BTW...There will probably be a BIOS update, and ours worked, if you have never done a BIOS update get someone that has. A BIOS update can Brick a computer...technically...it will require a board replacement and no warranty.

BIOS updates have to be done by whoever is going to flip the bill for the replacement board and all costs it takes to replace/repair if they ruin the BIOS...not a mistake you want to make if you can't afford the repair :-(

tip: It will reboot and update bios from the bios screen starting at 0% and you will watch it go to 100% then the system will shut down. We waited 30 seconds, the system didn't come back on by itself like we thought it would, so we just pressed the power button was about 30 seconds and yes the system came back fine and the BIOS was updated. Make sure you have a good battery and the unit plugged in "Mandatory"
