Our New Phone...

Well well well, we have finally upgraded our Microsoft Windows phone of yore...

If you have followed along you'll know that we have been using the First Windows Smartphone, the Nokia Lumia 900 v. 7.8 Microsoft Phone...

What you didn't know is that we have been watching the price drop on the Lumia 950 for sometime, waiting for it to drop to a reasonable price...

It then dropped from 650.00 to 298.00 after sometime, but even at that price it still wasn't worth it, because you would have to buy the accessories which would make the phone 400.00...

Still not a good value, then they dropped it to 245.00 quite rapidly and thought it was finally going to get to a reasonable value...

A reasonable value for that phone was 99.99 because it had absolutely no market value, nobody was buying that phone and after its target price of 650.00 they have more than made up for the cost it took to produce it...

Even if they hadn't made the money back for their initial investment they needed to sell the phones and it's hard to justify spending over a hundred dollars for a phone that may or may not be scalable...

People want to know that they made a good investment, that the value of the item will continue to improve, but Microsoft wasn't creating that vibe in the market after they bankrupted the Nokia Purchase...

Little was being told to the end users about future updates to its software for it's mobile phone devices and that is uncertainty that your phone would be able to upgrade to the latest advancements of Windows 10...

Especially after Microsoft announced that Windows 10 would only work on devices that met certain hardware and CPU requirements...

That's why this phone should have dropped to 99.00, at least that way you wouldn't feel to bad if it didn't upgrade or not, what's 100.00 bucks in a year...

Their original phone came out at 99.00, the one we had and was cheaper than any other phone on the market at the time and we got 5 years service out of it...

It didn't upgrade to Windows 10 on their latest Windows advancement, but it did at least upgrade the look to appear that it was a Windows 10 phone, and as they say, it's better to look good than to feel good...

In other words, no one's the wiser, and to everyone else it looks like Windows 10, but the engine was not, but who really looks under the hood anymore...

What really pissed us off though was when the price didn't drop past 245.00 and then was taken off all the Shelves at the AT&T stores and was then being sold as a "REFURBISHED" for...245.00...

You could have bought a new phone for 245.00 or now you can buy a refurbished phone for 245.00, now that's about as cheap as you get...

A new phone for 245.00 or a Used Rebuilt phone for the same price, that was tacky, and that is when we knew we had to do something because our phone's battery was getting worse and it wouldn't be cost effective to change out the battery because we would have had to buy a new screen...

At some point no matter how much you like something you have to realize that the repair cost is not a guarantee that it will keep the device operational...

We were already seeing problems with Apps not working and websites not working properly and really just became a GPS and Phone/Texting device for us, nothing else...

Of course you also know, if you've been following along, that we are a Microsoft Brat and because of that, we've completely divested ourselves into believing the Surface phone was just around the corner...

Pet Cemetery 1989: It's like Judd telling Louis that it's not much further now to Pet Cemetery and that Gage has a chance to live again...

We have never given up on Microsoft and have believed everything they have told us, and so would you, if you saw what Bill Gates did when the Government attacked him...

Bill Gates is one smart mofo and you would think that the apple wouldn't fall too far from the tree, but we like you are starting to doubt them...

However, ye of little faith, it was Microsoft that led the revolution of the 64 bit advancement and the breakthrough they created that still stifles the minds of the Hardware inept...

The difference between Hardware and Software is simple, Hardware gets hung up on the semantics of things, and software wouldn't know the difference...

That is exactly why we decided to get an Apple phone :-D it's because if you dice us up, we are hardware, but we have learned to respect software, and that is why we use Microsoft for Apple ;-)...

To be honest we have never had more fun with a device then we have with our New iPhone, it's really trick...

It also helped that we didn't have to pay for this phone, it was given to us by a friend of ours that had an extra just laying around...

It was their way of showing their gratitude for the help we have given them along the way and so we took the phone graciously and humbly...

It was so easy to transfer over all the data, yes we had to load iTunes on our Computer, which we did begrudgingly, but we did it...

What we didn't know is that iTunes has the ability to encrypt your data, that's pretty cool, don't forget your password ;-)...

The Apple Play for the car is Awesome, no more scratched up CD's that skip or jump if you hit a bump...

All the Emoticons are really fun, and the visualization effects you can use to spice up your text messages makes texting fun again...

The problem with Techs is that they criticize end users, but if they were to experience what an End User feels like when they use their device they'll find that it's fun to be an End User...

Remember Techs, if it wasn't for End Users there wouldn't be any need for a tech, so treat them nicer in the future to keep that relationship going...

Apple, contrary to popular belief is a Hardware company, and Microsoft...is the software that runs it...and that's a fact!
