Meg Whitman and HP...

"I will say that is probably a little different from this market. Remember, I am new to enterprise selling. This is a new thing for me and there is more of an ‘out there' sort of rhetoric among the companies. I have just chosen not to do it. I think our products and our solutions speak for themselves."

HP has never done anything for themselves, they have always been reliant on talent outside of their network.

HP is not new to the enterprise market and maybe because you broke up your company in half the information has been lost along the way on that one.

'You' may be new to the market, but companies, and we know you don't like to hear about them, but companies like IBM and Dell are not.

HP is not new to the Enterprise network and it was thanks to Compaq that sold their company to you for a ridiculous profit that gained you the #1 seed at one time, but you don't know hardware or software and you lost in the end which is the result you see of HP today.

The one thing that HP is right on is that they are a very scary company because they are a highly educated group of individuals that know how to throw college degree words at people that make them sound accredible, but all they are is an aggregator to true solutions.

sidenote: Technically speaking, your an overzealous Reseller!

HP is hoping that they will be viable by 2020 which is great if everybody else would wait for you, but reality check MEG, the World is already there and been there.

Microsoft is the furthest in the lead with their Enterprise solution and their software prowess rivals any competitors like Google or Apple or even you HP to be worthy of a comparative solution.

Google may have more servers, but that's neither here nor there when all you do is Gmail and provide a "Desktop."

The best you can hope for is that they buy their servers from you HP, but more than likely will buy Dell servers or maybe even IBM's if they were smart.

However, Microsoft is afraid of IBM and to buy from them will enable them and that would hurt MS bottom line.

WOW, if Microsoft and IBM were to team up with each other, would be a match made in heaven, and the competition knows it, but the Federal Government would never allow that to happen.

sidenote: IBM and MS have a rocky past with the Initial MSDOS that made MS the company it is today.

The thing of it is though, is that the CLOUD is a glorified backup server. It's less significant than the .com era of which burst like a balloon.

The cloud is none other than a distraction from the true agenda, which is the Telecom age of the Millennium.

All they are doing is recreating the wheel of so many years past with the MA Bell boom, but this time it's got an advantage...cable television.

Get people hooked with the shows they enjoy and provide them only on their networks.

You are already seeing this in the Sports packages they provide and now companies like HBO are jumping ship and going solo.

We've helped many companies get on their own two feet in business and get away from 3rd party hosters.

You have the ability to host your own server, buy your own dedicated DSL line and broadcast your own shows and provide secured backup for your customers or yourself.

There is no more secrets in the Computer business and all the solutions that you need are out there begging you to choose them and install them yourselves.

Look at Hillary Clinton, even she knew that she could host her own server, collect her own data and not have to be put on hold with someone in India when they can't connect.

As much as we can't stand that laugh of hers is insignificant, due to the fact that we applaud her for her ingenuity and courage.

All they are trying to do is get your data on their servers so the Government can have access to it at anytime.

The Govt. knows they can't move fast enough nor do they have the funds to support a task force to monitor every computer/device that is out there.

It's the same with the Marijuana movement. They were losing the war on drugs, so what did they do...they made it legal by providing a medicinal solution for people.

All they had to do was get a red card, a medical card that had your name and address on it and that was all they needed to build their database. They had you do all the work.

The same goes for these Cloud data centers, you are doing all the work by entrusting them with your data and giving them a centralized location to do it with...JOB DONE!

The cloud is an overhyped data backup solution that will cost more than they will ever receive, and that is why the small business will never make it.

Without a Handset/OS all you are is an information gatherer that leaves the customer vulnerable to online cyberthreats.

If companies like Premera Blue Cross can get hacked, how do you think Billy Bobs Backup Service won't?

HBO doesn't need Google or Comcast to host their channel, HBO could host it themselves, because they are HBO!

HBO doesn't need a 3rd party marketing company to brand their services with because HBO has already done it for themselves, all they need is a Server and a Connection.

You are getting the Clouds pulled over your eyes by these Silver Tonged Devils like HP and Google and HP has no clue what it's doing and are venturing into split decisions with he said you said blame games with it's two company divide model.

You're smarter than that, and we have taught you many ways to backup your own systems that have redundancy and accessibility just like the Big Companies have, it's not rocket science :-P

People you are spending your money much wiser nowadays and are saving much better, so don't lose all that hard earned money to some Snakeoil Salesperson.

"Trust me. As I have learned when you are at this size and scale and then you magnify that size and scale by the partners, this takes time. And it takes energy and it takes a little bit of trial and error to see what works. But I am convinced it is totally the right thing." Meg Whitman

...totally :-P

Sylvia Allen's Rant...

I remember a time when we used to leave our doors open and other people would leave their doors open and we would all walk around naked in our houses with our doors open...

It was such a wonderful time and I remember that we would let little Timmy come over with his gun rack and his guns and we would all walk around naked in the house with guns...

I remember when we would take those guns and go shootin' naked at the annual pot luck dinner and it was such a wonderful time...

I remember a time when we would just leave our doors open and go fishin' naked...

...then we'd go to church...

FYI Sylvia, there are towns that still do that, they even leave the car running as they go into the store!

...and then they go to church...

5hVnz Theory...

We have been having some thoughts about a Smart Drug for some reason and typically caused by current events.

With the advent of Autism being more prevalent in children and people starting to suspect Vaccines is more than just a theory, it's become a movement.

Autism is highly heritable, but the cause includes both environmental factors and genetic susceptibility...wiki

Environmental Factors are the scientific studies of "Gene Mutation" and Genetic Susceptibility is the "presence of one or more gene mutations"

Studies have been found with patients of Autism will have an increased Heightened Sense of Awareness in certain categories associated to the brain.

...in other words, they are really smart :-P

This idea of a Smart Drug is nothing new to us it's just that lately with the high amount of Autism cases has got us thinking that maybe they are getting closer to a solution...but at what costs?

Recently we heard of some story about a boy that recalled a life that he may have lived before and it wasn't until his mother took it seriously did it gain traction.

There have been stories like this before and people immediately bow to the divine and claim that this is of religious origin or reincarnation, but we don't think so, we think this is a trick of science.

sidenote: Reincarnation is not a body transfer nononono, this is more of the Gaelic Periods where they would steal the young to transfer the old, Hallows Eve >:->

Our theory is that this Smart Drug they are trying to create may be a collection of thoughts that are trying to be saved like that of data to a hard drive.

It's the intellect they are trying to preserve while maintaining the compound of the brain to continue the thought process of where they left off.

We think that the information is becoming corrupt while trying to integrate it into the natural brain function that doesn't accept it as their own.

We've thought it would be cool to have a Telephone that would have your picture on it or a watch that could do the same thing and here we are...

We've also thought it would be cool if you could just transfer smartness from one person to another, and they may be trying to bring that to us also...

Recommended Immunization Schedule for Persons Aged 0 Through 18 Years...
http://www.vaccines.gov/who_and_when/infants_to_teens/index.html

When you introduce too many software's in an Operating System or if you load an outdated software you can create corruption, and could be the case with the Immunization Process...

Think of it like having two Antivirus Programs loaded on a Computer, one is going to think that the other is a Virus and will try to protect itself from each other, all the while leaving itself vulnerable to attack.

sidenote: The scary part is that it may have nothing to do with these vaccines, and that maybe they are slipping them a mickey...

Look at Beta Carotene: If scientists would have taken the results they received from Monkeys we wouldn't be eating broccoli, because on Monkeys Beta Carotene causes cancer...

The best test subject is the subject you are trying to improve, so with all the people in the world what better to test on than the subject in question.

Remember the rule of thumb, "Population Control with a Profit"...

College costs money to maintain, people are unpredictable when waited upon, solutions need to be put into place, time is money and each new day is one more day lost...

They want a viable, profitable and reliable solution and with all the focus on bioengineering lately seems to prove that point.

Water for fuel, not food coupled with single thought minded non-objective humanoids is the next evolution and then..AI Robots that don't care about getting paid to eat or live...and that's a fact!

LGBT Bathrooms...

Recently in the news a Transgender (Male) walked into the Women's bathroom and the women felt uneasy about this and when they confronted management their membership was revoked.
http://abcnews.go.com/Health/planet-fitness-revokes-womans-membership-transgender-complaint/story?id=29465983

When a Heterosexual becomes uncomfortable and treated unfairly is when the tables have turned and a wrong has been committed, two wrongs don't make a right.

In the past it's been Lesbian and Bi-Sexual Women going into Women's bathrooms and Gay Men and Bi-Sexual men going into men's bathrooms and for the most part has been fine.

However, now we have a situation and that is with the Transgender's.

Any male can say they are a Transgender and walk into the Women's bathroom with or without the surgery and as long as they say they are Transgender's it's suppose to be accepted, but it's not.

In computers security is key and that is why this subject is interesting to us, because when you compromise security you threaten others and that's where problems begin.

For the longest time and until recently it's been the organized religious groups that have upheld the idea that god has said that being LGBT is a sin and of course people just believed it to be true.

They have also been told that god wouldn't make an LGBT person and that it was a person's choice to become LGBT, but we also now that is untrue.

sidenote: Yes, there are still some idiots out there that make statements like: "Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson apologized for commenting Wednesday that prisoners' changes after they leave jail proves being gay is a choice, but said that the science is still murky on the issue."

People always go into the problem first before the solution, they always have to try to get people to understand why they did what they did or why they are the way they are, but sometimes too much information is bad for the situation, when all that is needed is a solution and that is...

LGBT/Unisex Bathrooms. It's that simple, you'll make three bathrooms, Mens/Womens/LGBT/Unisex.

cannedrebuttal: Transgender's truly believe they are a woman and that may be true, but you weren't born a woman regardless of whatever operation is performed.

See you want to go into the reasoning behind why you are who you are, but you will never be able to get a Heterosexual to fully understand your sentiment and the meaning will be lost.

heterosexual argument: If you were a man before and for all practical purposes look like a woman, would you be "HONEST" and tell the Heterosexual that you once used to be a man, or would you continue thinking that you were born a Woman and go into the relationship with a  lie...

That's the problem and in relationships honesty is key and when that is broken the relationship struggles.

As far as the world is concerned, be a Woman, but when it comes to bathrooms and relationships, the truth has to known to protect those that don't understand.

So the solution is simple, LGBT bathrooms for those that have accepted the truth of who they are and are ready to be honest with themselves and the people around them.

Everyone has struggles in their life and for you to compare your problems with another is again when you use emotion to try to solve a problem that will get you nowhere.

So again, "Avoid the Problem and Go Into the Solution" LGBT/Unisex bathrooms.

Remember, in technology you need to hold onto nostalgia as you evolve the product as to not lose any customers on the way and this goes the same for this situation.

Let's just hold onto the Men's and Women's bathroom while making a Unisex bathroom and before you know it, we'll just have Unisex Bathrooms and everyone running around free willy ;-)

The example is Starship Troopers, the only difference was is they were a product of the Government and can be treated anyway the Government feels fit, it will just be protocol...and that's a fact!

Patch Sunday...

Well it's patch Sunday, that's the Sunday after the 2nd Tuesday of the month of which is the official Microsoft Update day.

As you know we wait until the dust settles before updating due to bad MS updates, but none were reported and all is good to go.

Adobe Flash also has an update so make sure you apply that as well.

Make sure you do your optional updates, but do not do any driver updates ie. NVidia, ATI, Intel etc.

Once you complete your Windows Update you'll want to do a complete virus scan of your computer.

You'll want to purge your system restore if you haven't in awhile because you don't want to restore a computer after you have done updates or you haven't restarted for awhile.
http://5hvnzon.blogspot.com/2014/08/purge-your-system-restore.html

Once all is completed do a Disk Cleanup or by using your CCleaner or Windows Disk Cleanup utility, that's system files also and registry cleaners.

If you are like us and disable your Windows Update service you'll need to disable that after you are done.

You are now up to date, scanned, purged and ready to browse, have a nice day :-)

If Microsoft is going to succeed...

They'll have to win @ home first...

We have never seen so many anti-Microsoft people than we have seen in their own home town.

Paul Allen co-founder of Microsoft owns the Seattle Seahawks and yet, people don't put that together when they refer to Paul Allen the Seattle Seahawks owner.

Radio stations advertise for Android and iPhone devices and they'll tell you to google it, before they would tell you to bing it, not to mention MS has done more for Washington State than Google and Apple have together.

sidenote: In fairness, google it sounds better than bing it...we never understood "bing" and only think of Ned Ryerson BING! which doesn't paint a pretty picture...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iu-XQND91Zw

In case you didn't know, their phone is called the Lumia, but it's not entirely your fault, MS has always been bad at marketing.

sidenote: Lumia is up for debate so that could be why they haven't marketed the name...

We feel we are the only one who owns an MS phone in Washington state, and people don't understand why we own one :-P

The common rebuttal is, they agree the MS phone is easy to use, and that for some reason distracts them from liking it.

Microsoft finally got the end user experience right and the end user is rebelling, but it's not because of the user experience, it's because it doesn't have enough games in it.

The other problem was it didn't talk to them like SIRI did in the beginning which put them behind.

It's too late to go backwards MS, so stay with the smart approach, because people are starting to get tired of the games.

One concern is the ease of information at people's fingertips that prevents them from learning what they are looking for.

It's one thing to have a mental block on a subject, but to blindly search for something limits the learning neurons.

How about creating a multiple choice answer routine that makes them confirm the answer they think is right?

Anyway, getting off the subject here, but MS you need to find a way to connect with the people in your own neighborhood before you can travel.

Don't go all philanthropist with it, because people are only loyal to you while you give them things, once you stop so will they.

Nononono, you'll need to be creative and bring back the ingenuity that you brought to this region by bringing it out of people by using MS products.

The most ironic feature in computers to us is "connect" because it's one thing to connect computers to each other, but when you can't connect to people data is lost ;-)

You gotta a tough road ahead you MS, but not an impossible one, so don't give up :-)

In The News...

Apple Considering Buying Tesla...

From Pros and Cons the tech world is going crazy on this thought/notion to buy a Car Company, but it's the natural succession in technology.

The past will show you that this has been an excellent decision to do for companies, Hyundai, Hitachi are just a few companies that have been extremely successful.

Apple is a very successful company because they know what people want and have always built their products for people, not themselves which is another reason they are so successful.

Steve Jobs never worked for the money, he worked for the idea, and when that idea came to life people paid HIM for it ;-)

You have to consider that Elon Musk has already done the ground work on the design and his design has been very successful which is the hardest part of an idea.

The other positive is that Apple will be the core design of this car and will be integrating their operation system and procedures into the core components of this car which reduces compatibility problems that most of the cars are having today.

Unlike companies like Google who don't care where products come from, Apple and Microsoft types do, and will ensure compatibility by default.

Yes we had to throw MS in there, because being an MS brat makes us jealous that Apple is that far ahead in the game, but not surprised.

How long did you think they could continue to milk the mobility market??? Computers have come full circle and the next generation is yet to be developed.

Mobility is being built for the Enterprise now and it's more of a sales game now to bring Corporate solutions to people more than just the endusers.

The only negative we can see in this deal is that Elon Musk takes Apple to the cleaners on the purchase of his company.

Remember, that Elon is at an impasse right now and isn't built for business politics which means he is getting tired of all the regulations that it is taking to bring his car to a market that is begging him to.

Elon needs you more than you need him, and remember, you already got the design/concept of the car so don't feel hostage to him for anything, remember your grass roots and what your fearless leader taught you.

In the Words of Sylvester Stallone (ROCKY)...GO FOR IT!

We're very proud of you Apple and Tim Cook and Steve Jobs would be also...and that's a fact!

Of course you only go with them because they usually had the money :-D, but then end up regretting it after awhile, but will do it all again the next weekend :-D

It doesn't matter, because in a way it's a win win...win win, you get to go to the bar, they pay for the night, they drive and pay for gas to get there and then you end up going home with the girl because either you won the fight or they want to nurse you back to health ;-)

Blackberry Update...

BlackBerry wins dismissal of U.S. lawsuit over BlackBerry 10...

Simona Jankowski has an overall success rate of 64% recommending stocks and a +13.4% average return per recommendation. She has rated Blackberry 31 times since April 2009, earning an 88% success rate recommending the company and a +30.8% average return per BBRY recommendation...

In an updated research note sent to clients and investors, Goldman Sachs analysts have downgraded BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) stock from Neutral to Sell rating, and have revised down the price target from $10 to $9. Blackberry stock was down 4.69% in pre-market trading today on the back of this downgrade...

Goldman Sachs, however, did point out that Blackberry stock has been up 60% since November 2013, when John Chen took over as CEO. It announced formally at the 2015 Mobile World Congress that its long-term survival is mainly dependent on providing software solutions to the enterprise segment. Mr. Chen is aiming to reduce Blackberry’s reliance on hardware revenues by making the company’s device management service known as BES12 compatible with smartphones not produced by Blackberry, in the process setting up a new software business...

BlackBerry: Goldman Sachs Induced Sell-Off Is An Excellent Buying Opportunity...

1. "A sell-off that is triggered by fundamental business problems such as the surfacing of balance sheet risks, legal conflicts, or falling commodity prices. These sell-offs have a lot of credibility and can lead to cyclical and secular share price declines."

2. "Other sell-offs are triggered by analysts that are releasing a biting analysis or downgrade a stock that sends investors running for the hills." Achilles Research

Most sell-side firms have a Neutral outlook on Blackberry. According to data polls on Bloomberg, 20 out of 36 analysts have a Hold rating on the stock. Analysts at both Cowen & Co. and BMO Capital have maintained a Market Perform rating on Blackberry, with the price target set at $10. Meanwhile, Cormak Securities has set a price target of $17 on the stock, and has maintained a speculative Buy rating. The average 12-month price target on Blackberry stock is $9.56...

Hillary Rodham Clinton...

Another perfect example that "WOMEN CAN DO NO WRONG"...

Anybody that thinks that women want equal rights is a person that hasn't been paying attention, women don't want equal rights...they want all the rights!

If anyone has been through a divorce with kids will know that the women get the house, the kids, monthly salary, bank accounts, the cars, basically the same would happen if the DEA took over a drug house...THEY GET EVERYTHING!

However, those are hard to compare with each other, but thankfully we have an apples and apples comparison for this Hillary Rodham Clinton Scandal...

Brian Douglas Williams account for his Iraq Helicopter Experience and the Hillary Rodham Clinton Bosnia gunfire experience.

The only difference between these two stories is Brian Williams was removed from his position and disgraced, H.R.C. "SECRETARY OF STATE" kept her job and was revered.

Now she says that she didn't want to use the .GOV domain account because she didn't have to, but why wouldn't she, was it because the .GOV domain is not secure...

...did she feel nervous about what her emails would pertain and would draw red flags from the content they contained...

Two very strange situations indeed, but if she thinks that her server is more secure than another server, she is mistaken, because NO SOFTWARE IS SECURE!

The #1 fact that shows her guilt here, is that she "DELETED" her personal emails, not preserved.

What are we going to find out Hillary, that you were going to the grocery store tonight instead of Bill?

What could be so personal that you are not willing to share with the people, is it Anthony Weiner type data that you are afraid of?

Regardless if it was grocery store data or risqué data, the fact that you "DELETED" those emails brings doubt to your honesty, not that we trusted you anyway :-/

sidenote: The Govt.'s version of "Transparency"

The other reason why she used one account is because she falls under the Baby Boomer can't right click copy paste condition.

In other words, she can't remember two passwords or two logins, because she's not computer savvy and that is why she had one email address, as she stated, "it would be easier"

She also said that she used an old domain and in fact she didn't, so she started out lying and still is...

The other thing is that whoever she sent email to will have a copy of whatever she sent, so won't matter if she deleted it or not, they'll have a copy and a subpoena could be issued to those accounts.

Also, any good tech could retrieve those emails from that server if they wanted to, but time is the enemy here and they would have to confiscate that server ASAP!!!

However, none of this matters and if she wanted to still run for president she could and will probably win because women have the majority vote.

Women don't care about these things, they love the emotion of what Hillary brings to the table, not the specifics, just the emotion.

Women love emotion and they will take it anyway they can get it, because they feed on it, they rely on it, they need it, because it's built into their DNA.

Even if H.R.C. was elected and was the worst president in the history of the Nation, wouldn't matter, because that's an emotion that they have never experienced before...A Woman President and B Failure or success wouldn't matter, just give me that emotion.

We're rootin' for her, GO HILLARY GO HILLARY, you can't lose...and that's a fact!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xobY1Wx6Kls

"The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world 'SHE' didn't exist"

**UPDATE**

Innocent Until Proven Guilty...Sure, but unfortunately with the Clintons we're way passed that...

Hillary is a compulsive liar and not only that, is a conveniently forgetful person, which explains two things with that type of condition...

One is that she can't tell a lie from the truth anymore, and/or second she is losing her memory...marbles...

sidenote: Their is a possible third condition...Psychopathy...

However, it doesn't change our decision when it comes to our choice for President because Hillary is exactly what the Political Agenda is all about. GO HILLARY GO HILLARY!!!

BTW: We heard some idiot on the radio today mention that he thought that Women are better Leaders than Men are...sure, if that Man can't lead...

It would be the same as a Woman saying that men are better leaders than Women, if that Woman can't lead.

This I am better than you are crap is so 6th grade, and to hear a child in an Adult body say something as stupid as that just shows you that the X-Generation was the beginning of the downfall...

ODD...

Sheldon Cooper has a problem with keeping secrets, however has no problem keeping a secret from the landlord about what happened to the elevator...

World Wide Web (WWW) is World War III...

"AN INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION"

BlackBerry and AT&T are already making moves that could exploit new ‘utility’ regulations...

In  AT&T ’s 1910 annual report telecom President Theodore Newton Vail stated: “Effective, aggressive competition and regulation and control are inconsistent with each other, and cannot be had at the same time.”

"The Communications Act of 1934 granted power to the FCC to regulate telecom rates and restrict new “unneeded” competition—dangerous verbiage in a capitalistic society."

"FREAK stands for Factoring Attack on RSA-EXPORT Keys and was developed by the federal government for spying on users. The bug affects SSL/TLS protocols, and can steal data when a user visits a website. Users can be at the risk of losing passwords and bank information. During the 1990’s, the bug made its way into software abroad and there was restrictions on 512-bit encryption."

...however, Apple and Windows are likely to release patches by next week to fix the bug...

At Goldman Sachs, Stress Test Results Could Endanger an Important Profit Source...

"The Supreme Court has ruled that if the FCC applies Title II to the Internet, all uses of telecommunications will have to pass the “just and reasonable” test. Bureaucrats can review the fairness of  Google  ’s search results,  Facebook ’s news feeds and news sites’ links to one another and to advertisers. BlackBerry  is already lobbying the FCC to force Apple and  Netflix  to offer apps for BlackBerry’s unpopular phones. Bureaucrats will oversee peering, content-delivery networks and other parts of the interconnected network that enables everything from Netflix and YouTube to security drones and online surgery."

                                       "FROM INTERNET TO OBAMANET"

"Google’s Eric Schmidt called White House officials a few weeks ago to oppose President Obama’s demand that the Internet be regulated as a utility, they told him to buzz off. The chairman of the company that led lobbying for “net neutrality” learned the Obama plan made in its name instead micromanages the Internet."

"The FCC regulates the airwaves, which are public property, and cable/phone services, which are natural monopolies. The Internet is neither of those things; it’s a group of interconnected private and government networks."

"No one, including the bullied FCC chairman, Tom Wheeler, thought the agency would go this far. The big politicization came when President Obama in November demanded that the supposedly independent FCC apply the agency’s most extreme regulation to the Internet. A recent page-one Wall Street Journal story headlined “Net Neutrality: How White House Thwarted FCC Chief” documented “an unusual, secretive effort inside the White House . . . acting as a parallel version of the FCC itself.”

It's probably a good idea to shut down your Online Banking Websites and Change all your passwords, but you'll need an uninfected machine to do so first...good luck ;-)

...or setup a savings account that is not tied to your checking account and add money to the checking account manually, but still change "ALL" your passwords!

FYI: "Banks will most likely pass these negative interest rates on to consumers, or at least try to. They may try to do so not by explicitly charging a negative interest rate, but by paying no interest and charging a fee for account maintenance."

"Indeed, the economist Miles Kimball of the University of Michigan has argued that if cash were eliminated and only electronic money existed, the so-called zero lower bound on interest rates would no longer exist, and central banks could easily set negative interest rates in a depressed economy to encourage more spending and investment.""That is one big reason that the E.C.B. and other central banks are going to be reluctant to make rates highly negative; it could result in people pulling cash out of the banking system."

"THE REAL REASONS RETAILERS ARE PAYING THEIR EMPLOYEES MORE"

They don't want you saving, they want you spending...and that's a fact!

How to Install Google Chrome on Linux

add this to your /etc/apt/sources.list file

deb http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/deb/ stable main

In step two, add the line with the red arrow pointing at it.
Then press  Ctrl+X  to exit. It asks if you want to save changes, say yes. It asks what to name the file, leave it the same to overwrite.

then run this to get the signing key

wget -q -O - https://dl-ssl.google.com/linux/linux_signing_key.pub | sudo apt-key add -

then run this to update your package list:

apt-get update

then run

apt-get install google-chrome-stable

Or download chrome package from  https://www.google.com/chrome/

dpkg -i the_file_name.deb

Thanks TKO

TKOzquiktip: This is for a 'Debian' package -

This is a slight oversimplification, but...Linux is the kernel and everything after the kernel is a package.

That's why package managers play such a big role in the Linux communities.  APT (Advanced Packaging Tool) is Debian's package management tool.

The red hat family ( REHL / Fedora / CentOS ) use YUM (yellow dog updater)
