5hVnz Song of the Month…

Jim Morrison “Eye Opening Message to Young People”…

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=iE5-cGDr-Bc

By the release of their second album, Strange Days, the Doors had become one of the most popular rock bands in the United States. Their blend of blues and dark psychedelic rock included a number of original songs and distinctive cover versions, such as their rendition of "Alabama Song", from Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill's opera, Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny. The band also performed a number of extended concept works, including the songs "The End", "When the Music's Over", and "Celebration of the Lizard". In late Summer 1967, photographer Joel Brodsky took a series of black-and-white photos of Morrison, in a photo shoot known as "The Young Lion"…

5hVnz Down…

We’re sorry we didn’t have a song of the month last month, but we’re in the middle of an upgrade…

Just wanted to check in with you to let you know what was going on…

We’ve had a few thoughts while we’ve been in this process, can’t remember the second one right now, maybe we’ll remember after this thought…

Taking an Uber/Lyft/Taxi/ is a good idea when you’ve been out drinking to get you around safe and keeping others safe, but we think we know why people end up driving…

It’s the start of the night that gets people driving, they want to drive up to their destination…

It’s more than that, they also want to leave on their own time, not when the car shows up…

Even though you make the call to have a car pick you up you’re always feeling rushed at the last minute…

Not only that, there’s something about pulling up in your ride, typically you’re taking out the nice ride so you want to show it off…

So we thought if Uber could drive you around why couldn’t you have someone pick up your car…

You’d drive to your destination, but as we know people tend to travel after they’ve been drinking…

Bar hopping, going to another party, getting something to eat and just driving home, and they do this drunk…

Just like Ride services get you to your destination on time and safe, why couldn’t we have a car service take your car home…

You’ll log the miles it took to get to your destination and you’ll pass this route onto your car service and they’ll follow that route home…

This is one good feature of the Key Fob that we discovered awhile ago…

You’ll start the car for the service with you present, the car can drive without the fob, remember, point A-B…

They’ll be nothing you’ll need to give to the driver and the driver will know that they can’t turn off the car so that, with the plotted miles will get your car home safe…

No need to worry about parking, no need to drive under the influence…

When cars can drive themselves flawlessly you’ll be able to tell your car to go home and it will…good car…

Still can’t remember what our other thought was maybe we’ll remember later…

We’re having to use our phone to post this, don’t like it too much…

Oh well gotta go, but we’ll leave you with a song of the month…

Thank you for your patience and understanding…

Just an interlude y’all just an interlude…

5hVnz Song of the Month...

When we heard this version we thought...they're's words to that song...huh...

MEL CARTER - "TAPS"...

Saturday, July 31, 2021

Here's an Idea...

 Commercials...

Commercials should be done in sequels...

Leave a commercial in an unfinished, cliffhanger to be continued state of being...

You play another commercial that has nothing to do with the first commercial, then the third commercial will be the continuation of commercial one...

...and then commercial four would be for commercial two...

...however, it doesn't have to be that way...

You could create a story that plays out all the uses your product is capable of doing...

The commercials could go as long as the 30 minute sitcom as well as being played for hours or even days...

You have a stain in your rug...well stay tuned and we'll show you how to remove that stain with our new improved blah blah...

Commercials could be little sitcoms...

It'll be hard to determine which is your favorite show or commercial...

Which is good, because the transition to commercial usually results in the viewer changing channels...

Commercials could also, if they want...could also, team up together and create commercial within a commercial...

Find a way they can relate...

Create a Product line with your vendors products and show compatibility and complimentary attributes...

The program director could also find a way to use pop ups inside the commercial that has the logo of the vendors they support...just a 5 second pop up...

This way you could pay for your commercials...

The result is to keep people on your station during and between the intermissions while being entertained all the time...

5hVnz Song of the Month...

Sevendust is an American rock band from Atlanta, Georgia, formed in 1994 by bassist Vince Hornsby, drummer Morgan Rose, and guitarist John Connolly. After their first demo, lead vocalist Lajon Witherspoon and guitarist Clint Lowery joined the group. Following a few name changes, the members settled on the name Sevendust and released their self-titled debut album on April 15, 1997, which sold only 310 copies in its first week...

On December 11, 2004, after playing a show in Columbus, Ohio, it was announced that Clint Lowery had left the band mid-tour, because he wanted to play with his brother Corey Lowery in his new band Dark New Day, who had reportedly just signed with Warner Bros. Records. A temporary guitarist was found for the rest of the dates, and Lowery was eventually replaced by Sonny Mayo (from Snot and Amen). At roughly the same time, Sevendust and TVT Records parted ways...

Blood & Stone was released on October 23, 2020 through Rise Records. The first song to be released off the album, "The Day I Tried to Live", is a tribute to the late singer Chris Cornell's band Soundgarden. It was released on June 26, 2020...

The Steve Miller Band is an American rock band formed in 1966 in San Francisco, California. The band is led by Steve Miller on guitar and lead vocals. The group had a string of mid- to late-1970s hit singles that are staples of classic rock radio, as well as several earlier psychedelic rock albums. Miller left his first band to move to San Francisco and form the Steve Miller Blues Band. Shortly after Harvey Kornspan negotiated the band's contract with Capitol Records in 1967, the band shortened its name to the Steve Miller Band. In February 1968, the band recorded its debut album, Children of the Future. It went on to produce the albums Sailor, Brave New World, Your Saving Grace, Number 5, Rock Love, Fly Like an Eagle, Book of Dreams, among others. The band's Greatest Hits 1974–78, released in 1978, sold over 13 million copies. In 2016, Steve Miller was inducted as a solo artist in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame...

The style and personnel of the band changed radically with The Joker (No. 1, 1973), concentrating on straightforward rock and leaving the psychedelic blues side of the band behind. The title track, "The Joker", became a No. 1 single and was certified platinum, reaching over one million sales. It was awarded a gold disc by the RIAA on January 11, 1974...

Three years later, the band returned with the album Fly Like an Eagle, which charted at No. 3. Three singles were released from the album: "Take the Money and Run" (No. 11), "Fly Like an Eagle" (No. 2) and their second No. 1 success, "Rock'n Me". Miller credits the guitar introduction to "Rock'n Me" as a tribute to the Free song, "All Right Now"...

William Dale Fries Jr. (born November 15, 1928) is an American singer, activist and politician best known by his stage name C. W. McCall and for his truck-themed outlaw country songs...

McCall is best known for the 1976 #1 hit song Convoy, which came at the peak of the CB fad in the United States. It sold over two million copies, and was awarded a gold disc by the R.I.A.A. in December 1975. Though McCall is not a one-hit wonder, "Convoy" has since become his signature song. McCall first charted the song "Wolf Creek Pass", which reached #40 on the U.S. pop top 40 in 1975...

At least three other songs reached Billboard's pop Hot 100, including "Old Home Filler-Up an' Keep on a-Truckin' Cafe", "'Round the World with the Rubber Duck" (a pirate-flavored sequel to "Convoy"), as well as the environmentally-oriented "There Won't Be No Country Music (There Won't Be No Rock 'n' Roll)". A dozen McCall songs appeared in Billboard's Hot Country Singles chart, including the sentimental "Roses for Mama" (1977)...

Words of Wisdom...

In 1962, President John F. Kennedy Visited NASA for the first time. During his tour of the facility, he met a janitor who was carrying a broom down the hallway. The President then casually asked the janitor what he did for NASA, and the janitor replied, "I'm helping put a man on the moon"...

Our proximity to the objective is not determined by an organizational chart or distance from the action, it is determined by our mindset. We are the ones who choose to go to work each day with the mindset of either "I sweep the floors" or "I help put a man on the moon"...

There's an Old Saying...

"If you want something done right, do it yourself"

Well, unfortunately just because time goes on doesn't mean things get better...

An old saying can change due to the times and this saying needs to be updated...

"If you want something done...do it yourself"

The old saying was created because it was hard to find a skilled worker, but at least they would try...

5hVnz Song of the Month...

Falling in Reverse is an American rock band based in Las Vegas, Nevada that formed in 2008 by lead vocalist Ronnie Radke while he was incarcerated.[1] The band's original name was 'From Behind These Walls,' but was quickly renamed to Falling in Reverse shortly after formation. They are currently signed to Epitaph Records...

In 2008, lead singer Ronnie Radke was involved in an altercation in Las Vegas that resulted in the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Michael Cook. While Radke did not shoot Cook, he was indicted on battery charges. These charges, combined with Radke's past troubles with narcotics and rehab, led to a suspended sentence and five years probation. After he failed to report to his probation officer he was arrested in June 2008, where his probation was revoked and he was mandated to serve his original sentence of two years in prison...

On November 20, 2019, a new single titled "Popular Monster" was released, depicting Radke exploring his demons and eventually transforming into a werewolf. On December 17, 2019, the band's debut album The Drug in Me Is You was certified gold record by the RIAA, to celebrate that the album won gold the band organized a tour called The Drug In Me Is Gold Tour with supporting acts like Escape the Fate and The Word Alive...

On February 13, 2020, the band released the single "The Drug In Me Is Reimagined", which is the piano version of the single "The Drug In Me Is You". Regarding the single, Radke said he wanted to give the fans something special: "This song was not made with the hope of gaining new fans — this was made specifically for the fans that have been here from the beginning. I wanted to strip down the music to show you how raw the lyrics actually are. So you can feel the song in a completely different way...

We were thinking and we were wondering why with all the demand for touchscreen hasn't Apple came out with a Touchscreen for it's Macs...

Then we realized, Mac prides itself on being a "Pretty" computer, so if there are fingerprints all over the monitor it wouldn't be pretty anymore...

Paul McCartney & Wings - Let 'em In...

Paul McCartney and Wings - Let 'Em In (1976) - YouTube

Paul McCartney and Wings (also known by their original name Wings) were a British–American rock band formed in 1971 by former Beatle Paul McCartney, his wife Linda McCartney on keyboards, session drummer Denny Seiwell, and former Moody Blues guitarist Denny Laine. Wings were noted for frequent personnel changes along with their commercial successes, going through three lead guitarists and four drummers. However, the core trio of the McCartneys and Laine remained intact throughout the group's existence...

In 1977, the band earned their only UK number one single, with "Mull of Kintyre", which became the then-best-selling UK single in history...

Wings released 1975's Venus and Mars, which included the US number one single "Listen to What the Man Said", and undertook a highly successful world tour over 1975–76. Intended as more of a group effort, Wings at the Speed of Sound (1976) was issued midway through the tour and featured the hit singles "Silly Love Songs" and "Let 'Em In"...

Black Angus and Heinz 57...

We went into our go to Steak House, Black Angus, a place that's been around a long time for one reason and one reason alone, consistency...

It's nice to know that you can go to a place that's familiar to you, something that reminds you of an earlier time, or maybe the family restaurant of yore...

Not much has changed there, the same high booths, the lounge, with the little dance floor the DJ Booth and the food...

There's nothing wrong with that, and as they say, go with what works, because if it ain't broke don't fix it...

However, that day has come, where they decided to change something and it didn't set well with us...

We asked for a side of Heinz 57 sauce for our meal and they said, "We no longer Carry Heinz 57 Sauce"...

sidenote: Yes we like steak sauce for our steak, that's our choice...

We like the tangy taste mixed with Chalula, but we didn't have that choice this time around and had to eat the steak w/out it, and it still tasted great, Angus does good steak, we just wanted our sauce mix...

This bothered us and we asked why, and they replied, because A1 steak sauce heard that we had other steak sauce choices and told Black Angus to get rid of all Steak Sauces or else...

We're not sure what the "Or Else" was, but it must have been important enough to them not to upset the people at A1...

This is what life is becoming in America, think like us, do what we tell you, eat what we tell you, live where we tell you, enjoy what we tell you etc...

We are no longer allowed to have a choice, and that's are fundamental belief here in America, to be the person you want to be, not what a handful of people tell you to be...

Lately America has become Land of the Imprisoned and Home of the Not So Brave...

If you liberals want to know what life will be w/out democracy just take a look at what has happened over the last year, that's where we're headed...

Re-Programmed, Re-Commissioned and Re-Cycled while being beaten into submission...

Well Black Angus we can't abide by your rules, and even though our loss as a customer won't even show up in your losses, just know that you lost a loyal customer...

When we wanted a Steak we'd always go to Black Angus, now, we're looking for a new Steak House that allows us to choose what steak sauce we'd like as a side...and that's a fact!
