There is an Update for the Update and it's important that you...Update...5/6 and 7's need to be updated...
An attacker within range may be able to execute...
As for the iTunes update, so far it seems to only be with Windows Operating Systems and only 64 bit...
We have updated our iTunes to 12.6.0.100 on a 32 bit MS Windows OS and do not have a problem...
We don't use iCloud, but that doesn't matter because it's with the Library that people are experiencing problems and the program won't open...
Users are also reporting that they can't backup their iPhone or Sync their iPhone and we didn't experience any problem whatsoever...
We closed the program and started it again and still no issues...
So if you're using Windows 32 bit you can update your iTunes to the latest release without a worry in the world...
FYI: We did disable our Malware program before updating, as we always do anyway, so you may want to do the same...
You will also want to clean up the mess, so run your CCleaner and Registry Cleaner after all is done...
So to sum it up, iPhone is up to the latest release (10.3.1) and iTunes is up to the latest release (12.6.0.100) on 32x and life's good...and that's a fact!
