Windows 10 Anniversary Update unstable...

If you are using a Windows 10 phone this won't concern you yet because Windows is only updating PC's...

sidenote: Guess it's a good thing we didn't run out and buy that Windows Phone ;-)

The Anniversary Update will appear as “Feature update to Windows 10, version 1607.”
*Hardware requirements apply...

Windows is releasing an Update that is causing a lot of problems to computers:

- Reset of Settings
- If you removed Edge from your Taskbar it will more than likely show back up again
- After Updating the system gets hung upon reboot and never finishes update
...if this happens you'll need to hold your windows key and the "c" key to return to previous version
- Surface Products seem to update okay, but have experienced networking problems

It's probably best if you are a business to disable your Windows Updates by going to services and disabling Windows Updates until Windows fixes these problems...

Microsoft is using you as the Beta right now and they are learning from the failures you receive from their updating process and could cause you to lose valuable time and possibly data...

Microsoft has already came out and said that it's operating system was going to become proprietary and the problems people are receiving may be hardware related...

With the problems that are around today you can't afford to be reactive in this situation, and it's not like a service pack update you've received in the past because no operating system have ever been built like this from Windows in the past...

Windows is forcing drivers for you hardware from their arsenal and not from the manufacturers which has always been problematic for Microsoft in the past, so we wouldn't put it past them to keep that pattern...

There is no hurry to do this update, and you won't miss out on anything you can't live without in this update, so chill, disable your updates...

Make sure you keep your outdated malware programs up to date by downloading the updates, but if you're using a cloud based solution like Webroot you won't need to worry about having the latest updates because they're always up to date as soon as you connect...

This may be another problem with the update from Windows and that people's malware program could be causing problems in updating...

Most of your malware programs today keep a copy of the license on the system or they prompt you to keep the license if you uninstall their software, so it might not be a bad idea to uninstall your malware program first then update, once updated, just reinstall your malware program...

Microsoft is desperate and more than likely people are getting pushed harder than normal to produce and when that happens, mistakes will be made, so don't take this update lightly...

As usual, if you don't care by all means update a way :-D...

**UPDATE**

In Microsoft's defense, you have to remember that Microsoft is based on what the industry calls "Bleeding Edge" technology, which means simply, something that's never been done before...
