US Open for Washington State...

...not Washington DC ;-)

You know that friend of yours that you can't take anywhere without being embarrassed? Well, that's Washington State.

They are the crowd they used for Happy Gilmore's movie :-D Now they're a good friend, but they just don't have the people skillz it takes to be in public, but golf helped them change.

It's true, we heard someone yell out to a Golfer while they were putting and said, "you better make this I just walked 15 miles" and of course they missed :-D

Then the very next day, they're personalities changed and started getting into the theme of what Golf brings. Their timing of clapping was a bit off, but definitely a change.

...real curious to see what day three brings...

sidenote: We're truly waiting for Washington to bring the Wave to the game, it's just a matter of time, but it's coming...

You have some really good wines in Washington and what goes good with Wine...Golf ;-)

Washington/Seattle has been trying to get a Basketball Team back to Washington State after losing their Sonics.

However, they're not having to much luck with that so they're trying to bring in a Hockey Team, but in order to get a Hockey team they have to tether in a Basketball team.

It comes down to money and both teams combined together won't see a return in their investment, no no no no...

...but Golf would be just what the Doctor ordered for this Blue Neck State.

Similar to Red Necks, but Red Necks get their name from working in the Sun and the backs of their necks get burned, but Seattle doesn't get sun which leaves the dye of the shirt soaking into the skin.

...hence, Blue Neck ;-)

By bringing Golf to the PNW will bring the Etiquette that Washington is in desperate need of.

INSERT ANALOGY: Your etiquette is as smooth as the greens of Chambers Bay, the same greens that have been compared by the Golfers as...Broccoli :-P

Washington is built of Farmers, Dock Workers, Warehouse Workers and a bunch of Tech mathematicians lacking cognitive skillz.

You can bet that the Golf Course is built like a Rubik's Cube or a Video Game and has some kind of pattern to it that you can use to win every time, regardless of where they put the hole.

Washington already has enforced a War on Cars so by turning land into Golf Courses would fit right into their agenda.

The Money they would make from this process would far exceed any basketball or hockey team...and that's a fact!

You need Golf and Golf needs a good place to play, and that could be Washington State, but if you think you're still missing something you are...Soccer.

Soccer will bring more money than Basketball and Hockey combined...and that's another fact!

FYI: The reason you lost basketball was because it wasn't making any money in the first place, the reason you're mad is because of the way you lost it, but that's the people of this Region.

Unfortunately you need people like that to make the money this State does, but it doesn't mean you can't persuade their decisions.

Plus who wants to be inside when you can be outside enjoying the beautiful landscape a Region like this has to offer.

We always say, "Washington is a Beautiful Place, it's just too bad it has people" it's true...

Washington State could turn into a giant Gamers Paradise that people fly into then leave. No one would live here and all the maintenance would be done by Robotics...

Oh we're on a roll now...roll...golf...get it AHAHAHAAAHAHAAAA just kidding ;-)

**UPDATE**

Oh Yeah :-D not only is the Wave coming to Golf in the PNW, body and face paint will also be coming.

...we even heard get in your home over and over throughout, Happy Gilmore reference...

The announcers even noticed the 12th fan feel in the air, which is good because they're only conditioned for 4 hours ;-)

For sure the Styrophone Fingers and Cowboy Hats are on their way, with beer helmets...

They need to put some "Honey Buckets" out there :-D Jason Day did a B-Line for it...

Washington has found it's player...Jason Day. You can bet you have been adopted by the People of Washington, and it's simple, Washington appreciates a hard worker.

An excellent finish in what could have been worse for Jason, but ended up tying for 1st!

**UPDATE**

What is a Links Course: Donald Steele an English Course architect and author on Worldgolf.com: "My Definition of links is the strip of land which links the sea with more fertile land, often set amongst dunes. The best terrain for golf is sand and that kind of land has minimal agricultural value - which makes such places ideal."

Theory and Reality: In Theory Larry Gilhuly the Agronomist for the West Region of the USGA said, "The Greens are as smooth as a Billiard Table" that's the theory...

The Reality: The players that are actually "PLAYING" the course say, "navigating the greens at Chambers Bay was like "putting on broccoli."

So who are you going to believe, someone that makes a paycheck and sits behind a desk, or someone that makes a paycheck by actually playing the course...

It's like that old joke about Theory and Reality:

A boy comes home from school and asks his father to help him with his school project about "Theory and Reality"

The father says, sure son I can help you, first go to your mother and ask her if she would have sex with a man for a million dollars.

The boy goes to his mother and asks, Mom would you have sex with another man for a million dollars...Hell Yeah!

The boy goes back to his father and tells him that mom said, Hell Yeah!

Okay, now go to your sister and ask her if she would have sex with a man for a million dollars...

The boy goes to his sister and asks, Sis would you have sex with another man for a million dollars...Hell Yeah!

The boy goes back to his father and tells him that his sister said, Hell Yeah!

Okay, that's good son, now I am going to explain to you the difference between Theory and Reality:

"In Theory we're Millionaires, but in reality, we have a couple of floosies living under our roof"

cannedrebuttal: ...Dad, Yes Son...what's a floozies...

**UPDATE**

Get those players Polarized Lenses...and the official Lens of the USGA is...

Fox/USGA/Microsoft seemed to be stuck on Final Round Score...they should have been showcasing the 1st rounders in their leaderboards, but were stuck on Final Round Scores, was a bit irritating.

...was resolved once the 2nd rounders started.

Here's an Idea, maybe Jason Day is getting too hot in his cap and needs to breath more...either go perforated or some kinda high tech breathable-fitted finished look...and wear lighter colored clothes in the Sun...Oxygen...

One thing to be said about the game of today, is that it's much faster, in relation to the quickness to the next shot...

Golf has been a real fittle-fart type of play for a long time, but to gain interest they seem to have sped it up for TV a bit because this is/was an exciting game to watch :-)

Here's an idea, and speaking of Billiards, you have a short stick for tight shots against walls, so couldn't they have a short club for ridge shooting...

When you are up against a ridge you'll see that they have to choke up real high on the club to make the shot, and if they had a short or even an adjustable club for ridge shots would make that shot easier...

Washington State stepped up and gave a Grand Stand Performance in Turnout, Excitement, Professionalism with such an auspicious venue.

Dustin Johnson had a chance to win it or tie it, and lost it with a par :-(, leaving Jordan Spieth to take it home and giving him notoriety for winning the Masters and the U.S. Open in the same season and being the youngest and the only American to win it in 6 years...

The love was for Louie, D.J. and Jason Day for sure, Jordan seemed to be the most likely to win and did, so that's about how that went.

Opinions aside, it sure was a good day for golf...and that's a fact!
