Just speaking about the iPhone...
Notifications seem to be a problem with Apple...
Notifications that we are referring are the ones associated with Chat/Texts w/e...they seem to break after the first reboot after the update...
sidenote: Apple iOS is at 14.3
We've seen three different ways notifications can be setup, and we're pretty sure that is all there is, but not the point of this blog post...
We have our notifications setup to receive the name of the sender, but not any of the text of their message...
Some have the name of the sender and a part of the text they are sending, and the third we've seen is just notification, and this is the one we want to talk about...
What we do is shut down our phone just before the update is done, that way the system has a chance to refresh itself...
We then restart, go to settings, General, then software update...
Now once you restart after the update your notifications will work properly for people that chose name only and not text on their chat balloon that notify's you that you have a text...
However, after a couple of days you won't be able to receive phone calls or texts and your Cellular signal will say "no signal"...
You won't be able to use your phone and you'll have to restart in order to fix the networking issue(s) and then your notifications will break and it will be "notification" until the next update, no matter if you restart or not...
We know they are aware of this problem because they fixed another issue because of this networking issue...
The notification used to show up for texts and phone calls which, if you slide to the right will dial the number, which can be bad, if it's one of those numbers that charge you exorbitant connect charges...
They fixed that, but they haven't fixed the notification balloon and they need to because it's a real nuisance for something that should be real ez to fix...
